Most Broome County Offices Remaining Closed
(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – Due to the world-wide technology outage, most county offices will remain closed to the public.
Offices and buildings that are open are:
- All Broome County parks
- Broome County Transit
- Senior centers
- The box office at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena
- Willow Point Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
- Meals on Wheels
- District Attorney’s office
- Broome County Probation Department
- Broome County Landfill
Certain county departments, such as the DMV and DSS, operate under NY state computer systems. The restoration time of those systems is being closely monitored.
This does not have any affect on events. The Bands & Brews concert will still take place tonight at 5 p.m. at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The Residential Paper Shredding Event will be tomorrow at SUNY Broome from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
