Affordable Senior Housing for Rent Upon Completion
(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The First Ward Action Council is now accepting applications for the new Vestal Chateau Apartments, located at 2040 State Route 26, Vestal, NY 13850. Upon completion, the complex will offer 30 units consisting of 20 one-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom apartments, designed for affordable senior housing. Monthly rent will range from $529 to $768, including heat, water, and sewer expenses.
Amenities in each unit include modern kitchen and bath spaces, energy-efficient heating systems, and accessibility features for individuals with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments. Seven units are tailored for mobility-impaired individuals, two for those with hearing/vision impairments, and five for fragile elderly seniors. Additionally, all ground-floor units are adaptable for wheelchair accessibility.

The deadline for all applications is March 29, 2024. A lottery to determine tenancy will be held on April 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Ward Action Council.
The Vestal Chateau apartment complex is expected to be completed in late April.
