Good physical and mental health for those ages 55 and older is important. Participation in a recreation program helps you stay fit plus provides the opportunity to meet other people. We invite you to enroll in a class at a senior community center or participate in a special event.
Popular programs offered at your local senior centers and other community locations are oil painting classes, special theme parties, exercise classes, bus trips and much more! Special events include:
- Senior Games: Held in August - September, with competition in a variety of games including disc golf, golf, pickleball, softball, billiards, tennis, bowling, and volleyball.
- Senior Picnic: Held in June and attracts over 1,200 people each year.
- Special Theme Parties: These events are held at local senior centers. Check the current Senior News or call your local senior center for a schedule of upcoming parties.
