If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms, you should: 

Drive through testing

  • Binghamton University is operating a test site for asymptomatic healthcare workers, first responders and essential employees as well as anyone with symptoms, those over 70 or immuno-compromised and anyone who has come within 6 feet of an infected person. 
    • Tests need to be authorized by a health care professional
    • An appointment is required.  To make one:
    • From May 2 and onward, testing will be available seven days a week as long as deemed necessary

Resources and Information - COVID-19 Vaccination Plan for New York 

  • 1/25/2021 – Governor announced a hotline to report COVID vaccine fraud and scams
  • 1/18/2021 – Get There will be providing transportation to vaccine appointments for those who are having difficulty getting to an appointment
    • To schedule a ride to your appointment, call the Getthere Call Center at 855-373-4040. They are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 1/15/2021 – State vaccination site is open at BU in Johnson City, NY 
  • NY State put out the following vaccine announcements as of Jan 14, 2021:
    • *ALERT: The Federal Government determines how much vaccine New York State receives.  The Federal Government has only given New York approximately 300,000 vaccines/week for over 7 million people who are eligible – as a result supply is very limited*
      • Vaccines are going to be available at pharmacies, hospitals and through government statewide – please contact your provider of choice to schedule your vaccine appointment.

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Information
    • Two vaccines were approved in December for use to vaccinate the population against COVID-19. As vaccine doses become available, the state will move forward with its phased plan of vaccinating the populations.     • Updates will be announced as they are available.  To receive email summaries and updates each weeknight, you can sign up for emails from the Governor. These email include information on case numbers across the state as well as updates on the state’s COVID-19 response and vaccination distribution plan.
