Could you or someone you know use assistance with the cost of home heating this winter? The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) can help those who qualify. The 2019-2020 HEAP season is currently open.

If you received HEAP last season, you should have already received an application. If you receive Temporary Assistance (TA) or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you may receive HEAP automatically.

New applicants can apply with the following agencies:
• Over age 60 and/or disabled: Office for Aging at 778-2063
• Under age 60 and not disabled: Department of Social Services at 778-1100
• Apply online at www.mybenefits.ny.gov
