New York State has a program called Expanded In- Home Services for the Elderly (EISEP) that can help.

EISEP is a non-medical program for low-income seniors who do not qualify for Medicaid. If you meet the guidelines, you may receive assistance in areas such as bathing, cleaning or cooking. The program includes a cost share requirement for those with slightly higher incomes. It is common to be placed on a waitlist, so planning ahead can support your desire for independence. The program also includes case management and other supports.
