Forgetfulness or Dementia? - UHS Stay Healthy Center, Oakdale Mall

Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Family caregivers are invited to attend a presentation on Wednesday, October 17 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the UHS Stay Healthy Center in the Oakdale Mall.  “Forgetfulness or Dementia?” will be presented by Rene Conklin, LMSW and Coordinator of the Elder Services Center at Binghamton University.

Dementia can be an overwhelming diagnosis. Many families avoid investigating symptoms, but there are over 70 diseases that can cause dementia. During this presentation, we will discuss why it’s important to obtain an accurate dementia diagnosis, as well as what services the Elder Services Center provides to support caregivers and those with memory impairment.

No cost to attend, but pre-registration is requested.  Please call Caregiver Services at 778-2411 to reserve your seat.
