Update -- State of Emergency in Broome County

 (BINGHAMTON, NY) County Executive Jason Garnar has lifted the emergency orders of "No recreational use of waterways” and "no driving on flooded roadways" effective 11AM on Friday, Aug. 17.


The State of Emergency in Broome County is still in effect.


The following emergency orders remain in effect:

- No entry into barricaded areas.

- Waiving of tipping fees at Broome County Landfill for flood debris.


The State of Emergency was declared Tuesday due to flash flooding across the county in several municipalities. The State of Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.
