Binghamton, NY – Broome County Executive Debbie Preston, Broome County Legislature Chairman and Arena Board Member Daniel J. Reynolds and Arena Board President Bob Warner announced that Chris Marion has been selected to be the new manager of the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena and Forum Theatre.
“Chris has done a lot of great work in our STOP DWI Department, putting on top notch events like the Chris Thater Memorial Races and the Winter Classic Basketball tournament,” says Broome County Executive Debbie Preston. “He’s a very hard worker and we believe he will help bring quality shows and entertainment to both facilities.”
“I am very happy to have Chris Marion appointed as the manager of the Arena and Forum. He has a proven track record at the Stop DWI agency and I am sure his youth and exuberance will attract new venues to our area,” says Bob Warner, president of the Arena Board.
“It’s a privilege to serve our community as manager of the Veterans Memorial Arena and Forum as well as continue as STOP-DWI Coordinator,” Marion says. “I look forward to working with our local organizations and event promoters to bring high quality entertainment to Downtown Binghamton using both my event management experience along with the resources we have available at both facilities ”
Marion replaces former manager Anthony Capozzi, who left the County to return to the private sector.
He will continue to run the STOP DWI Department for the County as well.
