Willow Point Employee Selected as the NYAHSA Employee of the Year

BINGHAMTON, NY - The New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (NYAHSA) has selected Steve Hill Director of Physical Therapy at Willow Point Nursing Home, as employee of the year. The President of NYAHSA and former Broome County Executive, Carl Young will present Mr. Hill with the award during a short ceremony at 10AM tomorrow, November 16th at the Willow Point Nursing Home, 3700 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY.

"I want to congratulate Director of Physical Therapy, Steve Hill on this achievement," said Barbara Fiala, County Executive. "Steve's dedication to his patients and department has earned him this recognition."

The NYAHSA Employee of Distinction Awards Committee selects two nominees from each of NYAHSA's regions. Steve Hill was nominated by his peers for the award. Those who nominated Mr. Hill acknowledged his abilities as a health care professional and his resident-driven "we are here to serve the residents who live here" attitude.

"Steve is known for enabling residents to do things they thought weren't possible anymore," added Steven Reagan, Willow Point Nursing Home Administrator. "He knows residents' names and their particular diagnoses without looking at a chart."

Mr. Hill will receive a $100 hundred dollar cash prize and proclamation.
