Broome County Public Library To Kick-Off Centennial Celebration

     BINGHAMTON, NY - The Broome County Public Library will celebrate it's 100th birthday during the month of October. To kick-off this exciting month long party the Library will hold a press conference on Friday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Library's Decker Room, 185 Court Street Binghamton, NY.

Broome County Executive, Jeff Kraham and other dignitaries will honor the Library for it's 100 years of consistent service to the residents of Broome County and the Centennial Calendar of free events, open to the public will be unveiled.

Following the press conference the video "A Happenin Place" will be aired, next Broome County Historian Gerry Smith will present "The Centennial History of the Broome County Public Library" (with a special guest from the past).
