Faith-Based Community Health Fair

BINGHAMTON, NY - On Saturday, May 1, 2004, the Binghamton Tri-County HIV Care Network is coordinating a Faith Based-Community Health Fair at Columbus Park, Carroll Street, in Binghamton. Events are planned from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Faith-Based Community Health Workgroup of the Binghamton Tri-County HIV Care Network is sponsoring this program. The fair is free and open to the general public.

Participants will be able to get information on many topics, sample healthy snacks, and enjoy music and dancing. Free, anonymous Rapid HIV testing will be available. Healthy Living Partnership staff will provide information about available health screenings. Those who are uninsured or underinsured can receive insurance information about Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Family Health Plus Programs. Due to limited seating available in the park, attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to enjoy the entertainment.
