Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board
STERPDB is a special purpose unit of local government created under Articles 5-G and 12-B of the NYS General Municpal Law as a joint undertaking by its member counties. Member counties include: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Schoharie, and Tioga. The Regional Board serves all of its member counties, as well as Otsego and Tompkins counties, as a Local Development District for the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), a Federal/State partnership program. In addition, the Board also serves as a US Dept. of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) Economic Development District. Board staff assist local governments and not-for-profits in accessing grant resources through these and other Federal and State programs. The Board is also an Affiliate with the NYS Data Center Program for dissemination of Census data and an Areawide Clearinghouse for Inter-Governmental Reviews.
