REDUCTION OF CHARGES / PLEA BARGAINS

 

SPEEDING VIOLATIONS

First speeding violation within past 18 months (when speed less than 25 mph over speed limit). Reduced to a "Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device." (V.T.L. 1110(a)) 
Second speeding violation within past 18 months (when speed less than 25 mph over speed limit) Reduction of 10 mph from the speed charge.  For ex.:  a charge speed of 75 mph would be reduced to 65 mph.

MOVING VIOLATIONS

Most Three Point and Above Moving Violations Reduction to a "Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device" (V.T.L. 1110(a)) 

Most Two Point Violations

A plea as charged with a recomended Unconditional Discharge (no fine), or a minimum fine.
Most No Point Violations A plea as charged with a recommended Unconditional Discharge (no fine), or a minimum fine.

Exceptions:  Speeding in a School or Construction Zone will only be reduced by ten miles per hour and will never be reduced to a failure to obey a traffic control device.

*Please note that we will not reduce certain serious traffic offenses, such as failure to stop for a school bus and texting while driving.  All persons charged with a Misdemeanor Traffic Offense (ie:  Driving with a Suspended License, Driving with a Suspended Registration, Reckless Driving, Driving While Intoxicated etc.) must actually appear in court and cannot use our automated plea bargaining system.  Further, if you are charged with more than one traffic offense at the same time, you cannot use our automatic plea bargaining system.
