(TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY) If you are heading to the Spiedie Fest and Ballon Rally in Otsiningo Park from August 2nd through 4th, make sure to give yourself plenty of extra time to get into the event. All authorized on-site vehicle traffic entering Otsiningo Park will be subject to going through a security check point, so potential delays are anticipated. Concert times are expected to be high traffic times, so plan accordingly.
“Spiedie Fest is a great event in our community,” said Broome County Executive Jason Garnar. “Thank you to our Broome County Security Division, Office of Emergency Services, Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and New York State DOT for all their hard work in making this event a safe place to be.”
For festival attendees, parking is available at SUNY Broome with shuttle service to the park. Please be sure to allow ample time to park your vehicle. Parking staff and security officers will be assisting in directing patrons to appropriate parking areas and to board the shuttles.
Broome Security also wants you to be mindful of items that are NOT allowed into the event area.
Those restricted items include:
- Weapons of any kind
- Outside food or drink
- Outside alcoholic beverages
- Drugs or paraphernalia
- Coolers
- Backpacks
- Bags larger than 14”x14”x6”
- Bikes
- Roller Blades
- Pets (Service Dogs Exempt)
“In keeping these added precautions in mind, we are asking everyone to arrive early so you can get into the festival and enjoy all the attractions” said Director of Security James Dadamio. “We will have ample security staff in place to ensure a safe and great weekend.”
