27th Broome and Tioga Counties Surplus Vehicles & Equipment Auction
(Binghamton, N.Y.)- The 27th Annual Broome and Tioga Counties Surplus Vehicles & Equipment Auction will be held on Saturday, September 26th at the Broome County Highway Garage on Route 12. The public is welcomed to view items at 8am before the auction begins at 10am. Mel Manasse & Son, Auctioneers will again convene the annual auction. "There are a diverse array of items up for auction this year," said Broome Counyt Executive Barbara J. Fiala as she toured through the garage. "This is a way for the County to recoup costs and promote reuse of items."
Eleven municipalities and six local school districts have contributed items for the Auction. Last year there were 985 items and 475 bidders at the auction which grossed $209,000 last year, $34,366 for Broome County. This year, on-line bidding will run simultaneously with the live auction for large items. Those wishing to bid online will need to log on to www.Proxibid.com.
