Chris Thater Memorial Organizers Seek Performers for its Music Festival

(Binghamton, NY) Chris Thater Memorial event organizers are seeking performers for this year’s music festival that will be held in conjunction with the event August 28-29 at Recreation Park in Binghamton, New York.

Last year, a music festival was added to the line up of cycling and running events at the Chris Thater Memorial. Groups performed throughout both days and featured a variety of music that included bluegrass, jazz, Celtic, folk, big band, R & B, classic rock, and country to name a few.

This year’s Chris Thater Memorial Music Festival will be held from 10am to 9pm on Saturday, August 28th and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, August 29th. Featured groups will be given the opportunity to play for one 40 minute set. House sound and back line equipment will be provided. It is held in memory of Chris Thater, an avid cyclist, who was killed by a drunk driver. The event is free and open to the public.
