STOP-DWI to Co-Sponsor TIPS Training on June 24th, 2013

(Binghamton, NY) – The Broome County STOP-DWI Program will be coordinating a TIPS alcohol server training awareness program for area restaurants, hotels, bars and nightclubs. The training is co-sponsored by Traditions at the Glen, A.L. George & MillerCoors.
The TIPS alcohol server training program is certified by New York State. TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is an education program for the responsible service, sale and consumption of alcohol. TIPS is a skills-based training program that is designed to prevent consumption to the point of intoxication, underage drinking and drunk driving.
The TIPS seminar will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Traditions at the Glen, 4101 Watson Boulevard, Johnson City. 
The registration deadline for the program is June 21, 2013. The cost of the program is $22 per person, which includes a student manual and handouts. Lunch will also be provided. Please contact Broome County STOP-DWI Program to register or obtain more information at 778-2056 or
